Egg-speriment with a Cell

In this experiment you will observe how various materials enter or leave a cell, using an egg as a model of the cell.

Egg-speriment photos and hints

To complete this project, you will

- observe what happens when you soak an uncooked egg in vinegar, then in water, food coloring, salt water, and finally in a liquid of your choice.
- measure the circumference of the egg every day, and graph your results
- explain the changes that your egg underwent
- follow the safety guidelines in Appendex A of your textbook

2) Finish soaking egg in plain water and record results 8/21/03
3) Finish soaking egg in water with food coloring and record results 8/25/03
4) Finish soaking egg in salt water and record results 8/28/03
